About the Cold Brew Latte
The Starbucks Cold Brew Latte carries 123 calories in a Grande and 166.5mg of caffeine, which is nearly double what an iced latte delivers. Cold brew coffee is poured over ice with milk, and every dairy alternative on the counter works with it.
Cold brew takes milk better than espresso does. Twenty hours of cold steeping leaves out most of the acidity that makes an espresso based iced latte taste sharp against dairy, so the two sit together smoothly rather than competing. What comes through is chocolate and a rounded sweetness with no bitter edge at all, which is why this drink needs no syrup to be drinkable and most people order it plain.
The caffeine pattern is unusual. A Tall is 159.1mg, a Grande 166.5mg and a Venti 204.7mg, so the step from Tall to Grande adds only about 7mg. Cold brew is poured to a fixed measure and the larger cup takes more milk and ice rather than more coffee. Anyone chasing caffeine gets far more out of two Talls than one Venti. Calories run 88, 123 and 142 across those sizes, with 11.1g of sugar in a Grande, all of it from milk.
It is also the most forgiving drink on the cold menu to let sit. Espresso based iced coffee goes sour as it warms, because the acids that heat pulled out of the grounds become more obvious as the temperature rises. Cold brew has almost none of those to begin with, so a cup left on a desk for half an hour tastes diluted rather than unpleasant. That makes it the sensible order if the drink is going to outlast the walk back.
Starbucks UK does not publish a delivery price for this one, which is why the figure above is blank rather than estimated. It sits between the plain cold brew and an iced latte in store. The Cold Brew Coffee is the black version at 22 calories in a Grande, and the Iced Caffè Latte is the espresso based equivalent with far less caffeine.

How to Make a Cold Brew Latte at Home
Cold brew concentrate and milk. If the concentrate is already in the fridge this is a thirty second drink.

Method
0 of 3 stepsTips
- One to one concentrate to milk is the starting ratio. Weaken it with milk rather than water so the body holds up.
- Whole milk suits cold brew better than semi skimmed, because there is no acidity to cut through the fat.
- No syrup needed. Cold brew is sweet enough on its own that adding sugar usually makes it worse.
Variations
- A vanilla sweet cream cold foam on top, which is how Starbucks sells the most of them.
- Oat milk, which matches the chocolate note in cold brew closely.
- Half concentrate and half milk with no ice, which is stronger and does not dilute as it sits.
Tall glass, poured slowly so the milk marbles. It looks better before you stir it than after.

Starbucks store locatorCold Brew Latte Questions
How much caffeine is in a Starbucks Cold Brew Latte?
A Grande carries 166.5mg, a Tall 159.1mg and a Venti 204.7mg. That is nearly double an iced latte, which sits at 89.1mg.
How many calories are in a Cold Brew Latte?
A Grande is 123 calories, a Tall 88 and a Venti 142. Sugar is 11.1g in a Grande and all of it comes from the milk.
How much is a Cold Brew Latte at Starbucks UK?
None of the delivery partners publishes a price for it, so nothing is shown above rather than a guess. In store it sits between plain cold brew at £4.30 and an iced latte at £4.70 for a Tall.
Why does the caffeine barely change between Tall and Grande?
Cold brew is poured to a fixed measure. A Grande takes more milk and more ice rather than more coffee, so the caffeine only moves from 159.1mg to 166.5mg. Two Talls give far more than one Venti.
Is a Cold Brew Latte less bitter than an iced latte?
Considerably. Cold steeping leaves out most of the acidic and bitter compounds that need heat to dissolve, so the coffee sits under the milk smoothly instead of cutting through it.
